Wow! these cross-fingers worked! What an amazing trip! Even better than pure-blue skies, there were enough puffy clouds and mixed haze for lovely photography. The pre-trip Chilkat-adventure resources archived here.
First, it’s high time I released a crude draft of the first 37 pages in my already-run-on scoping/journaling compilation for this class. This part covers: Geographic context.● Cartography.● Journaling.● Bedrock ● Glacial history ● Mass wasting. For that last one, since getting home, I’ve deep-dived into the extraordinary collection of resources at our command for sleuthing the Beach Road Land Slide (BRLS in agency lingo). Pages 30 to 37.
And here’s an updated packet of stereograms for the Chilkat, an 8MB pdf that we’ll use in a classroom exercise today.
