Excerpt from a 2007 Fireside talk
For almost 20 years I’ve intended to upload a retrospective on the Repeat Photography Project that Kathy Hocker and I tag-teamed at Glacier Visitor Center. JuneauNature has many pdfs you can download that detail the 2 years we spent sleuthing historical imagery. But we only gave one public presentation, and that was back before USFS recorded or archived their Fireside presentations. Fortunately, we did sit down afterward to record an audio-powerpoint, and I’m slowly converting and uploading parts of that to Discovery Vimeo.
Here’s one segment of the 2007 talk, about an intriguing photo by Winter & Pond, in the majestic and rapidly growing raised-floodplain forest between Asx̱’ée (Eagle) and L’ux̱ (Herbert) Rivers. Stream the 18 minute excerpt here.
