During the Armstrong-Willson-Carstensen Hotspots study, 2002-03, Mary Willson teamed with Aaron Baldwin to sample intertidal invertebrates throughout the Mendenhall Refuge. At the time, this survey was “the only known semiquantitative assessment of invertebrates of sedimentary intertidal habitats in Southeast Alaska.” Bob Armstrong helped by taking macro-photos of many species.
