The third issue of Discoveries has a feature article by Kathy Hocker on animal adaptations to the subnivean world.
I added a short article with thoughts on animal tracking with teachers and students, an activity that by 1996 had become the core of our winter Nature Studies program. Includes table of species abundance at several of our favorite field trip destinations, and sign relationship to human and dog frequency.
