On a sleety December 11th, 2018, Discovery Southeast staff (and Clay Good, board) hiked together in the lower valley of Dzantik’i Héeni, little flounder stream (Gold Creek). Program director Bess Crandall planned this get-together as a ‘moving discussion.’ Our theme: how to ask questions with students.
A week later, I took the occasion to create a sort of Holidays card, to give you the flavor of an outing with the folks who bring nature to Juneau’s children. Thanks to Bess and Sylvia Madaras for many of the photos I inserted. And to Sylvia for taking charge of JuneauNature outreach on Facebook and Instagram! If there’s something you’d like to see featured in JuneauNature, let us know; maybe it’ll be next week’s post. . .
