In 2010, on contract with CBJ Parks and Recreation, Discovery designed 3-panel sign arrays for 10 trailheads on (or leading to) city lands. They introduce the area’s geology, habitats, wildlife and human history. This sign-cluster stands near the beginning of the Cowee Meadows Trail. Because there’s far too much information on the signs to digest during a short viewing, you may perhaps want to download, and add it to your digital Discovery library.
Don’t forget to check out our 4-fold brochures created as part of that CBJ Natural History Project, describing interpretive stations along the trails. And the summary report for our watershed study is titled Natural history of Juneau trails, published in 2013.
