In his Tlingit dictionary (2019) X̱ʼunei, Lance Twitchell, Lḵóot Ḵwáan, says the name of his kwáan means “People of the Lake That Puked.” Here are some new cartographic resources for this outlet stream, deeply incised into ancient marine sediments and—judging from the channel studded with large granitic boulders—probably a terminal moraine
