Lentfer audio-visual dark-eyes
My friend Hank (Henry) Lentfer is using a combination of high-quality sound recording and high-res remote-control telephotography to document wildlife around his home in Gustavus. This 4-minute story of junco family life is so ‘real’ that when I was playing it, just now, my wife Cathy, across the room (whose ears, unlike mine are still finely tuned to birdsound) was fooled into thinking a dark-eye was singing in the gale outside.

Under Sounds are some highlights of Hank’s collection. Be sure to plug in your headset or earbuds cause computer speakers don’t do justice to this audio quality
Under Films is a sampling of four one-to-4-minute vimeo pieces on sapsuckers, snipe, juncos and a brown bear rub tree. This is obviously gonna be a site to watch.
Thanks, Hank, for letting me embed this!
