One of the things I love about this community is ‘information density,’ most palpable when a bunch of really experienced people gather to explore and discuss places with deep history and ecological significance.

CBJ’s Michelle Elfers, speaking, and Dale Gosnell (blue mask) told us about changes over time in recreation at Fish Creek delta. One surprising response from MRV surveys (‘MC’ Kevin Jeffery on left) was a huge interest in camping opportunity, tempered by skepticism about safety, especially in fishing season. This group was composed mostly of agency and NGO reps. Merli, Crandall and I came for Discovery Southeast. MRV is also meeting with nearby residents and other stakeholder groups.
